yea! off to the festival. 92 degrees and sunny!
First stop...Face Painting. Both girls decided they wanted a rainbow.
The sweet girl painting Jessa's face asked me if Jessa was adopted. I said she was and she wondered from where. I asked her if she had been also, she smiled so sweetly and said, "Yes, from Korea." I hope and pray that Jessa's face lights up that brightly when she is a pre-teen and in the middle of those years where life is all about searching for identity. I pray that she will always be able to happily say, "yes!" to that question about being adopted and embrace with JOY the family God has given her. She is such a treasure!
She sat sooo still. :)
Children's Arts & Crafts Tent. SO FUN! They created masterpieces! Heart Frames, Wind "Socks", Sun Catchers, and Beaded Bracelets.
Coloring sun catchers. Love Jessa's little tongue...haha!
What a GREAT big brother they have! Getting in on the fun! :)
The girls strung the beads for their own bracelets and there were so many different colors and kinds to choose from...loved seeing their different personalities shine. She painstakingly sifted through all the flower beads to find just the PINK ones. :)
She decided she wanted LOTS of different colors and separated them with a silver bead. "Look Mommy! It's a pattern!" :) And finished it off with a soccer ball and baseball bead...she LOVES being like her big brother!
Daddy and his sweethearts! They liked creating their wind"socks". What little girl doesn't like stamps, stickers, glitter, and ribbons. :)
Part of the fun of having "twins"...dressing them alike! They LOVE it! They talked all morning about how they "matched". And of course, Mommy loves it too! ;)
Hanging out watching the dog show. Amazing dogs catching frisbees and running obstacle courses.
Sharing their snowcone. LOL!
so HOTTA today! sought out the shade to get some relief!
Mamaw, Papaw, Aunt Stephe & the cousins came to cheer on his All-Star Baseball team!
AJ was selected as an All-Star by his coach and got to play in the All-Star game today during the Festival. Batter Up!
Safe on 1st base!
He also played 1st base and made some excellent plays! Catching throws from the outfield to get the runners out! So proud of him!
stole 2nd base...
His coach gave out awards - He got "Best Dive" and you should have seen the mud on this kid after that diving catch - head to toe..MUD! LOL! I had to wash his uniform 2xs. Somehow I think whoever decided it would be a good idea for baseball to be played in white pants must have been laughing hysterically at the Moms' who would struggle over the years to get those pants clean. hahaha! But, like David always says, dirty pants = great effort! So for that, I'm thrilled for AJ! He really had a super great season of baseball!
Blessings,
