SNOW FUN

Everyone was so excited to welcome the first SNOW of 2009!
It meant a day off of school for David and Andrew! So, Andrew went sledding with his cousins and had a great time zooming down a "mountain" that Uncle J.D. discovered! David and I took the girls outside for some snow fun too.
How cute are the girls all bundled up and ready for FUN!

Hollyn couldn't WAIT to get out there and PLAY!

This is Jessa's "geeeez...It's cold Mama!" expression. :)

And this is Hollyn's CHEESE! I LOVE being outside expression! :)

Daddy and his Snow Angels

Hollyn's "pucker up" for a smoocheroo Mama! She loves giving us kisses when she is having fun and is so excited! It is like her way of saying, "Thank you for letting me do this!" So cute!

Winter Sunshine makes me squint Mommy.

Just Swinging in the Snow

It was Jessa's very first snow experience. She is not excited about winter at all especially the cold wind, but even she was intrigued by the white stuff. And of course, if Hollyn is playing in it then she decided it must be fun!

Although, she didn't want any of that cold stuff on her mittens. And kept showing me her hands and that they needed to be cleaned off. LOL! That's my girl! hee hee!

She also moved like the abominable snowman with her snowsuit on. She is so funny. When she would fall over, she couldn't get back up without a boost from us, she fell over A LOT, so she kept saying to me "I help choo?" which translated means... Mama, please help me get up. So cute!

Both girls went down the slide that was packed with snow and they thought it was funny to make a soft landing on the big heap collected at the bottom. Sort of a baby version of down-hill sledding or maybe the toddler luge. :)

We had to wait a couple days to get out and play in it because it was below zero with a major harsh and bitter wind blowing, but today it warmed up a little and it was the perfect day for some SNOW FUN!

Hollyn adores being outside and playing on the swing set. She would have stayed out there for hours and hours if it wasn't so cold. She LOVED the snow and making tracks in it, and taste testing it too. :) When she saw all of the snow falling from the sky, she was soo excited and kept telling me over and over again, "Mama! Snowman! Snowman!!" It wasn't quite wet enough to pack into a snowman, but maybe next time. We did have fun just exploring the world covered in white.

And this is what nap time looks like after an exciting day of playing with Daddy & Mommy in the snow! Jessa Li was totally OUT! Exhausted and cozy warm with her puppy, bear, and seahorse music. I can't believe I snuck in and out of their rooms without them waking up and even used the flash on my camera! They were so tired...and so peaceful.

Our sweet Hollyn with her Hippo, Winks the Elephant, and of course her binky.

Oh...and special thanks to all the wonderful friends we have that helped contribute to today's fun through hand-me downs and gifts! The girls would like to especially thank Mrs. Furry for Jessa's snowsuit, Hollyn's hat and gloves, and Jessa's boots. And Hollyn would like to thank Mrs. Miller for her boots and Mrs. Bennett for her Snuggly blanket. Jessa would like to thank Mrs. Latello for her nap time music seahorse. It has provided HOURS of sleep for all of us! Thank you! :)
