HOOPSTERS

Andrew decided this year he wanted to try playing basketball. He is learning so much about the fundamentals of the game and just enjoying participating in a sport during the winter.
He loves running and seems to really enjoy playing defense...maybe because he is taller than most kids his age. :)
Not sure if this is b-ball or a new game of rugby ball? I can't even find the basketball in the photo! LOL!
Last night he had an amazing opportunity to participate with his team at the HS Varisty Game. He had a blast getting to run out onto the court at half-time. All the boys showed off their dribbling techniques! Andrew had a HUGE smile running out there! We asked him if he had fun...he told us, "YES! but there was also a LOT of pressure!" :) His friend Jadon plays on Hoopsters also. Jadon's Dad also teaches with David in the Social Studies Dept. in the HS. This photo reminded all of us of a similar photo I took 9 years ago of the proud new Daddys holding these boys when they were just babies!
WOW! time goes by soo fast! Look how tall our little guys are now!
And just for the record...yes, the girls were there and were as busy as ever! Climbing up and down the bleachers and trying their best to escape us. It is hard to keep them contained and content. They really wanted to be out there playing too. Jessa kept telling me..."Jessa's turn!" Because she thought she should definitely be able to play with the ball by now.
Hollyn was ready for her nap, thus the binky, but once the action started - she was awake and ready to play. Her new favorite word is "Pass!" She throws us the ball and shouts "Pass!" for us to throw it back. So cute! They keep us busy and creative! It is like herding cats really. One will go this way and the other will dart off in the opposite direction. I'm seriously considering the toddler leashes... seriously.
