Happy 9th Birthday Andrew!

Andrew had a wonderful birthday celebrating with our family! He opened his gift and was super surprised to see his brand new digital camera and BONUS, it is even ORANGE! His favorite color! He was so excited and immediately began snapping photos of everything in sight. :) The girls were his captivated audience - how he got them to sit still and smile is still a mystery to me. They were cheesing all night. LOL! He decided he would like to have Donatos pizza that night for his birthday dinner. He was so happy to have his very own pizza all to himself! :) The next night we actually went out to eat for his birthday and of course being the birthday boy, he was excited to choose the place to eat. If you truly know Andrew, then you know already that at the top of his list of favorites is MCL Cafeteria. Hilarious! It has yummy home-cooked style food and you go through the line with your tray just like you are in a school cafeteria choosing what you want to eat as you walk along, but the clientele is mostly, well, let's just say the average age is purty near 70. Anyway, he commented on one occasion about it, "Mom, Did you ever notice there are lots and lots of people with gray hair here?" He was three at the time. Six years later, he still doesn't seem to mind the company. He would pick MCL over Chuckie Cheese any day! He just LOVES the food and the atmosphere! And oh ya, the desserts! :)

Andrew is growing leaps and bounds. He has out grown two sizes of pants this year and I can hardly believe how long his legs are getting. He is still a cuddler despite his new found height, and he is always curling up beside us on the couch or in the recliner. He likes playing board games, basketball, baseball, soccer, and video games. He rejoices with others and truly has a heart for friends, fellowship, and fun! We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments this year! Going to China with us was the highlight, but there have been so many opportunities this year for him, and we are so thankful God has given us another year to celebrate memories. I can't wait to see what his camera captures and to look at the world through his point of view. He is excited to help me record our family history through photographs!
