TEAM NIGERIA

Every weekend, we get the joy of seeing Andrew play on his U11 soccer team, Nigeria! He LOVES playing with his friends and having his Dad as the Assistant Coach too. He is picking up so many new skills and is even trying to workout at home to improve his speed by running on the treadmill. This summer he attended a special soccer camp and thoroughly enjoyed the workout sessions and extra training. But what I loved seeing the most this past weekend, was his ability to cheer on his team-mate when he scored a goal! He is learning the art of teamwork and to celebrate in the success of others especially when they are on your team!

A High-Five for his team-mate's goal!

Super excited that his fellow Nigerian scored!

 Passing it in.

 Mixing it up.

Throwing it in.

Calling for the shot.

Using the power to pass.

Going with the left foot.

Finding the air and juggling it away.

After the game, the girls had a chance to play a little soccer too. Hollyn is such an athletic little one! She was kicking the ball, chasing after it, getting in there with the big boys and even trying to score a goal!

Cheering on her brother! She was shouting from the parking lot, "Go Andrew!" even before we reached the sidelines.

Driving the ball down the field.

Some serious footwork.

Discussing with her friend, Jakey, the importance of ball control.

She shoots, but her big brother doesn't let her score.
Well, that's what brothers are for...

Tossing it out for Jessa to play.
