Portraits of Pippin
I took these are for the AWESOME owner who allowed us to bring him home.
This is how he traveled home from Missouri. Peacefully sleeping in his dog bed or snuggled in my arms.
He was afraid of losing us the first week, so he kept hiding between our feet when we took him out to do his business. It was so cute and we knew he felt safe being near us. Honestly, I think he really LOVED us right from the beginning! And of course, he had us at "hello"!
Love at first wag!
Hollyn amazes me! She was enamored with Pippin and took over ownership immediately.
He just evokes this kind of emotion! He gets more kisses than Mommy now. :)
Jessa Li was a little timid at first. But she is now so in love! God blessed us with the sweetest puppy in the world! He had to know Jessa was fearful of dogs, so He led us to a puppy that loves to be snuggled, loves to be held, loves to have kisses, never barks, doesn't jump up on the girls, and overall is the gentlest most laid-back dog I've ever met! Jessa Li's psychologist told us, "Hands down this is the BEST decision you could have made for her. She will be able to give and receive affection freely without any expectations, and she will be able to model loving and caring for someone else without the competition of it being a younger sibling." YAY! We finally did something right! :)
Giggly Girl!
She likes leading him around on his leash. The other morning she was giving him his daily exercise by running back and forth from one side of the yard to the other. Let's just say they both took really GREAT naps!
Hollyn LOVES holding him! And he LOVES being held! Perfect Match!
Andrew was so excited to meet Pippin! That morning it was a school day so Andrew begged David to see if Pippin could ride with them to school. David said, "Yes!" because he was coming back home to go to a Dr. appointment. When they got to school, AJ said, "Hey let's show him to everybody!" David reminded him that it was only 7:00am and no one was at school except the principal. :) AJ has really gotten to know his principal by helping out in the office in the morning. He really likes to help and it allows David more time in his classroom before school starts. Anyway, David said they could bring Pippin by another time. Maybe I'll surprise Andrew one day at school! :)
He couldn't wait to get home and hold his new friend! He played with him all afternoon & evening!
Welcome Home Pippin!
