HOLLYN'S BALLET

Since Hollyn was a baby she has LOVED music and dancing! She entertains us constantly with her performances, and she expressed very early a desire to take ballet lessons. During the winter Olympics, she sat on my lap as we watched "the princesses dance" on the ice. ;)  She was enraptured seeing the ice skaters perform with such graceful moves. She immediately began immitating their arm movements and flowy choreography while her sister Jessa began attempting the triple axle in the living room. LOL! So funny the two of them! Anyway, this summer we enrolled Hollyn in a very special princess budding ballet class. She AMAZED us with her ability to focus on the instructor and follow step by step what the dance required. She lights up with delight knowing it is her special day to dance and it has been so very sweet witnessing her soul come to life! She is beautiful and so graceful in the dance studio, and we have decided this is something she enjoys and loves, so we are enrolling her for the entire year. So blessed and thankful to be able to give our daughter the gift of dance. Her class will include ballet and tap! She is beyond thrilled! This is the girl who wears her princess heels in the kitchen while tap dancing to some beat she's made up in her head. Cracks me up! She will LOVE the tap class for sure! These are some special photos caputured this summer of our sweet Hollyn experiecing her first ballet class.

doing the locomotion train!

blurry photo, but so cute! they are galloping in a circle with their imaginary ponies, then they all stopped and scooped their arms up toward the center of the room...so cute!

teacher telling the girls to tell their feet "bad" when they forget to point their toes.

wagging their fingers and saying "no toes! bad toes!" LOL!

clapping because they have pointy toes and happy feet!

While waiting for her very first class, she spotted a ballerina figurine in the dance studio display case! She was completely enraptured! So precious!

Showing Mommy what she learned in class today.
Pointed toe out with "scooped" arms.
(Her Daddy wanted to take her to class to see her in action.)

She melts my heart! First position with her hands up...

then bringing them slowly and gracefully down...

Enjoying Our Very Blessed Family,
