JESSA'S GYMNASTICS

Jessa Li is a climber! She climbs the bookcases, the toybox, the monkey bars, the swingset, and pretty much any other obstacle that looks challenging. Since she was a baby she has been climbing - it all started when she climbed out of her crib the first week we were home from China. We still have no idea how she did that! LOL! This spring she began doing flips on the monkey bar on our swingset, and she would do them over and over and over again each time landing on her feet with a HUGE smile! The next week we signed her up for gymnastics and in no time at all we knew she was MADE for this! She is excelling and we are so thankful for this opportunity for her to feel success and to have something special just for her. She enjoys the attention and really has exploded with confidence. She enjoys all of the appartus, but by far her favorite is the bars. Her teacher has told us numerous times, "It's like she just doesn't want to get off them. She is a little monkey!" :) We LOVE knowing that she has something during the week to look forward too. Just seeing her perform the routines is amazing! Her flexibility, her strength, her balance - so beautiful! These are photos from her very first performance called "Showcase of the Stars". She wore her purple leotard and Mommy gave her some sparkles on her eyes, lips, and cheeks. She loves makeup so she was in heaven! We encourage each of our children to celebrate the others unique talents. So Hollyn & AJ were so great cheering for their sister as it was "her special day to shine!" They were just as excited as us to see how wonderful she is doing in her class! She has mastered most skills in her preschool class and her instructor said that after the first two weeks of next session, she will move Jessa up to the next class! She'll be with 5-7 year olds! SOOO Proud of her!
